Micro Suction
Microsuction is a gentle treatment used to ensure your ear health. Micro-suction is clinically proven to be safer than traditional methods such as irrigation & syringing. At AudiCare we use microsuction to remove ear wax (cerumen), foreign objects, dry skin and debris caused by infection.
A low pressure pump, like a small household vacuum cleaner, is used to gently remove the wax or object from the ear canal. In the majority of cases it is completely pain-free.
Curettage
Curettage is a gentle treatment used to ensure your ear health. Curettage is safer than traditional methods such as irrigation & syringing. At AudiCare WA we use curettage to remove Ear Wax (Cerumen), dry skin and debris from the ear canal.
Curettage uses a small tool to gently cut or scrape away ear wax. It is normally used where micro-suction is not successful at removing the ear wax on the first attempt.
